We had a great week in the ball mill. A very nice, always very clean room with a south-facing balcony and a great view of the mountains. Great selection for breakfast and a very nice ball mill team. The food is just great, that's why Put on some weight, but it was worth it. Thanks again to the ball mill team

We have been going to Berchtesgaden for decades and have always enjoyed going to the Kuhlemühle. It has subsided a bit in the last few years, but it was still so good that you keep going back. This time it was the last time. Self-service is an absolutely bad solution. Other inns are much better at that. If I want to serve myself, I go to an MC Donalds or Burger King. That was very disappointing. The roast pork was ok, not good, but ok. The alm schnitzel was not a hit. It's always a shame when a restaurant is only looking for tourists and not for quality

Never again, I ordered the Almschnitzel. The food was awful. The schnitzel was from the deep fryer, as was the roesti. Everything tasted the same burnt, the schnitzel was still raw inside, but baked with long blond hair. I will never visit this place again

The inn was very cozy, the food tasted very good and the staff was always friendly. The room in the pension was very nice and clean, the bed was comfortable. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come again. The surroundings and the ball mill are very beautiful and it was wonderful to sit in the beer garden and listen to the babbling of the brook. A wonderful vacation!

Fantastically rustic, interesting and delicious! We, 10 people, felt very comfortable in the ball mill. In the morning we saw how the ball mill is put into operation and we are happy about the preservation of this craft! Very cozy beer garden, very nice boss who served us the delicious coffee. We found self-service in 'one-way traffic' to be completely fine in a confined space. All dishes are extremely tasty, e.g. the yeast dumplings with poppy seeds and vanilla sauce a poem! Thank you!

Despite Corona and self-service, we enjoyed the holiday very much. The room with a south-facing balcony was very clean and was cleaned every day. The breakfast was awesome: it was so good and rich that we were full for most of the day. The food from the menu was also amazing, we have seldom eaten so well. With all the bells and whistles, as you can also go on beautiful hikes from the Kugelmühle, it was a very successful holiday.

My wife and I were guests of the ball mill once again 3 days ago. First of all, a big THANK YOU to the entire team at the inn. Despite "Corona" everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The current form of self-service is already "special" due to the pandemic, but it does not change anything about the excellent cuisine! The Kugelmühlburger alone is simply MEGA; - and I shared that with the chef as personal praise at the end. If you are looking for very good and down-to-earth cuisine, you will find the right thing here without hesitation. Conclusion: Please continue like this ... Went there for 2 days in a row on June 21 + 22, 2020 and were fully satisfied both times. Self-service, which is unfortunately due to the corona situation, is a bit cumbersome. But for us it was no reason to enjoy the delicious delicacies again. The location right on the Almbachklamm is just terrific and the food is excellent. The current rating of 6 out of 6 points from Holidaycheck 2020 is absolutely justified. We can only recommend it and will probably go to eat there again.

Good restaurant to stop off at after the Almbachklamm. Only cash payments possible. Staff unfortunately very unfriendly. The food is good, the portions are big enough.

We stayed at the Kugelmühle for 5 nights and we liked it very, very much. The guest house is located directly on the Almbachklamm, so it's great to start hiking right from the room. The room was large for three people and very clean Food downstairs was very tasty and plentiful. The boss and the staff were more than friendly, we really felt comfortable.

The food was very, very good! That was the best roast pork I've eaten so far! Everything freshly prepared from the burger to the nuggets on the children's plate! The self-service is perfectly fine, they even helped us carry it! Thank you so much! I can absolutely recommend it with children.

Great restaurant at the foot of the Almbachklamm where you can eat delicious. Priced a bit above average. Very nice beer garden with children's playground. The staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, there is only until 19 o'clock warm kitchen, which is a pity especially in the summer!

After an extensive hike around the gorge, the inn offers a variety of food and drink. Even fresh trout dishes, the fish swim for each guest visibly in the clear water basin on the side wall of the building. For children there is a small well-kept play area with 2 swings and small climbing opportunity. Friendly and nice service, friendly unobtrusive not intrusive, complete the whole excellent. Price performance okay, according to this region. We like to come back.

The food is good and the service is very friendly, but I can not cope with the prices. Especially the extras to the cake such as cream, vanilla sauce or ice cream make a big impact. Sure, the restaurant is right next to a tourist attraction, but so much money I would not worth a second visit.

I would say, that it is a really nice and rare place. Where finest food is served, service meets superb quality and if you're interested in Mills, you can find out more info about producing Marble balls in such a unique way. Sure you can buy some and get them back home with you.

The food was pretty Good , I have to say aswell , I could just customize my food as i wanted and overall my experience with it was great.

Friendly atmosphere and great menu selection

It was raining when we went there but the food and people were very good. I would highly recommend the Bavarian Cream Puff. Very huge and very delicious.
